COLONEL BENJAMIN J. SCHILL

 

a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. He completed Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training in 2001 and the F-16 Basic Course in October of 2002. He served in Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), Air Combat Command (ACC), and United States Air Forces in Europe (USAFE) in Combat F-16 units from 2002-2010, holding various positions ranging from Scheduling and Standardization/Evaluation to Chief of Squadron and Wing Weapons. In his final Active Duty assignment in 2011, Colonel Schill served as 57th Wing Weapons Officer, Chief of Integration within ACC’s Operational Test organizations at Nellis Air Force Base (AFB), Nevada. In 2012, Colonel Schill joined the Texas Air National Guard. Within the 149th Fighter Wing, he has held Weapons Officer, Training, Long Range Scheduling, and Safety positions. Prior to his current position, the Colonel was the Commander of the 149th Operations Support Squadron at JBSA-Lackland.

Col Schill is a graduate of the Fighter Weapons Instructor Course, and Command Pilot with over 3,100 hours in the F-16. He has flown over 150 combat missions in OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, and OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE, where he served in various Wing and Squadron-level Weapons Officer roles. Prior to Group Command, Col Schill was Commander of the 149th Operations Support Squadron.
