Air Force Aid Society (AFAS)
Steps to apply for an AFAS Grant:
1. Go to AFAS.org to apply for grant. 2. Use your receipts, pictures of damage, etc. for your AFAS grant justification. 3. Once your application is complete you will receive notification to meet with the Lackland Military & Family Readiness Center (M&FRC). Call (210) 671-3722 and leave voicemail with your info or (email 802fss.fsfr@us.af.mil) to schedule appointment to receive payment. 4. The grant is for up to $500, not automatically $500. 5. This grant will be open for approximately two weeks.
Eligibility includes:
• Active duty Air Force members
• Air National Guard or Air Force Reserve personnel on extended active duty over 15 days under Title 10, USC (assistance is limited to emergencies incidental to, or resulting from applicant’s active duty tour)
• Air National Guard personnel on Title 32 USC 502(f) Full-Time Active Guard Reserve (ANG) orders (Initial & Continuation Tour Only)
Federal Employee Education & Assistance (FEEA) Fund
